Great Fashion Tips That Will Help You Turn Heads

If you are someone with no sense of fashion, then the information presented here will be of great benefit to you. You don't need to feel out of place. You can improve your style with some dedicated time and effort. There are a wealth of fashion tips to help you, so keep reading.

Fashion is typically viewed as being about clothing. The impact of a great outfit can be severely diminished by poor hair styling. Get a cut that is flattering and manageable, and invest in hair products and accessories that help you achieve a look that meshes well with your personal style.
Avoid fitted clothes if you put on a little more weight this season. This will result in you showing off all the imperfections you would like to hide. Instead, wear clothes that are a little looser.
Don't go overboard when it comes to accessories. Try to showcase a special piece of jewelry, instead of loading up on dozens of pieces. Doing so will draw more attention to that one piece and make you look much more organized.

Use bleach to keep white clothing looking new. Just make sure that you don't mix any of your clothing items up and bleach the wrong clothes on accident.

Get the most out of your beauty products to save the most money possible. For products in tubes, consider using the squeezers made for toothpaste. Bottles can be turned upside down, or on their side, to help you extract the last bits of products. Don't forget to take off the top as well. You can save money by doing this.

For overweight individuals out there, clothing items featuring horizontal lines are a huge no-no! Remember that tip! This pattern emphasize the width of your body, so it will make you seem even wider. The best stripe pattern for everyone other than extremely thin woman is vertical stripes, as they make you look taller and leaner.

Go shopping with your friends. Make suggestions to them as to what new clothes they would look great in. If necessary, take your friend straight to the store and help them choose something that looks great on them.

Wearing white clothes after Labor Day is actually okay. You can, and should, wear any color that you find appealing and flattering, no matter the season. If white is your color, wear it as often as you like! Most people don't even think about what time of year it is when regarding your outfit.
Pack mostly neutral colors of garments when you travel so you will be able to mix and match them. When the colors all go together, you can use them daily without any worries. Accessories, such as belts and scarves, can make you look nicer without taking up a lot of space in your luggage.
A crucial item that you need in your closet is a dress you can wear anytime, day or night. If you're constantly busy all day long, then this dress is going to be vital for you. During the day, you can look casual by wearing a scarf and casual shoes, then change into jewelry and nice-looking heels to go out for the evening.

Just because a fashion trend is popular doesn't mean it will be right for you. You may look silly in the same outfit that looks fabulous on the model walking down the runway. Do not follow the crowd. Instead, choose your outfits yourself. Listen to your own instincts. It is the best way to go.
It isn't too hard to like like a celebrity. Knowledge is the key to looking your best. The tips in this article will help you get fashionable.

The Princess Project Delivers Prom Dresses to Those in Need.

With prom time rapidly approaching, girls across the country are already stressing about what they'll wear on the big night, and how they'll be able to afford it. For some, affording prom wear just isn't possible due to the high costs involved. This is where "The Princess Project" comes in. The Princess Project is an organization that provides prom dresses and accessories to those who couldn't otherwise afford it. Basically they set up special locations and ask girls to come by with a valid high school ID (no proof of income required) and get a wristband and set up a time on that day to come back, then simply go pick out a dress, accessory, and even a goodie bag with various extras from the Princes Project's sponsors. Speaking of sponsors, cell phone manufacturer Palm recently joined up with The Princess Project for a promotion that saw Palm give away a Palm Treo smartphone to the first 27 people that donated a dress to each of 8 screenings of the 20th Century Fox movie "27 Dresses," which happens to feature a cameo by the Palm Treo 755p. Palm collected 336 gowns, including one worn by Katherine Heigl in the movie! Even though some people are just now hearing about the Princess Project, it's actually been going since 2002, and has given out over 7,000 dresses to girls in the San Fransisco area. This really is a good cause that allows girls that may end up not even going to prom, the chance to not only go, but have a nice prom dress as well, and also allows many other people to help out a good cause. For information on getting a dress, or if you'd like to help out the organization, check out ThePrincessProject.org.

Crazy Shoes- Fashion Trend for Fall 2008

According to Styleist one of the Trends for this season is quirky or crazy women's shoes.

Some of the Styles highlighted are reverse heel pumps, neon platform shoes, and ballet flats.

Posh Spice Vitoria Beckham is seen wearing some futuristic Gimabasttista Vallis in Paris. Gwyneth Paltrow is wearing very short dresses and very high heels ( is that like a Short Skirt and Long Jacket?).

The Marc Jacobs 2008 collection has some very quirky looking pumps that some swear are very comfortable to wear, but they look like HELL to me.

And of course the more "fashionable" of the Olsen Twins is rocking her own Posh Giambattista Valli "Victoria" pumps in Hello Kitty Pink. Meooowwwww.

Not to be outdone, Fendi has a 700 buck pair of cage high heel sandals- they feature a 5 inch heel covered in chain links.

Hot Dancing Star Julianne Hough Shares Her Fashions Tip

I was just a reading a style blog that often shares fashion and beauty tips of the stars. They had one on fashion tips from Julianne Hough in their Summer Style section. If you don't know Julianne- she is hot, young, and probably the best thing about the reality tv show Dancing with the Stars. She has also made a successful career transition as a country singer. Did I mention that she is hot?

What makes Julianne look so great? I am guessing she looks best in nothing, but since this is a blog about fashion we will stick with that.

Here are a few of her tips:

1. Fake Tan helps her look toned in her skimpy dancing outfits.
2. makeup- blush, foundation, bronzer, mineral eye shadow
3. Drink water for hydration and uses face cloths for the skin
4. She used open shoe insoles and other Dr. Scholls products that she can wear with sandals.
5. Aviator sunglasses are her must have for summer

Are Prom Dresses Becoming Too Sexy/Revealing?

This post is about a trend that has slowly been going for years. It's prom time, and high school girls spend countless hours trying to find the perfect dress, for hopefully the perfect price. Not only are a good style and price factors, but outdoing other girls in the sexy department is now a battle that is at an all time high. By all time high, I mean it's at the point where a high school girl was arrested at her prom, due to her dress being WAY too revealing (see picture.) There really is no excuse for this one, other than the girl wanting WAY too much attention. Yes, it is a battle to get out there and find a dress, but you can definitely find sexy designer prom dresses out there that are a lot more classy than this, and are definitely worth paying a little more for. This girl and many others like her are simply going for the shock factor, instead of exploring how to be sexy without being trashy. The "dress" she chose was probably the worst case we'll see, as I'm not sure how much more can be shown without being illegal to even wear in public, much less a prom. All this drama will hopefully steer other girls away from such a trashy choice, and more towards spending a little bit extra if need be, in order to maintain some sort of class in this era of "the sexier the better."

Hollywood Trend Alert: Oversized Clutches

With a new season comes a new fashion trend in Hollywood. Oversized bags are still in style but the type of bag has changed. Last season was all about large shoulder bags.

This Spring big is still in but in the form of clutches. For example Katherine McPhee was seen walking the carpet with a plum clutch purse- the Foldover Clutch by Caprice Bianca. Cameron Diaz was seen at the Oscars with an elongated style Roger vivier clutch.

Other celebs getting in on the clutch purse look include Nicole Ritchie, Lilly Allen, Padma Lakshmi, and Ashley Simpson.
